Welcome to BayLax!

BayLax is the San Francisco Bay Area's women's lacrosse league.  Formerly the Northern California Women's Lacrosse Association (NCWLA), we have been in existence since the late 1970's - when women's lacrosse had just started expanding westward - and we've enjoyed being a part of the growing popularity of lacrosse in Northern California ever since!

The regular season runs from late February to July, culminating in our annual tournament at beautiful Lake Tahoe.  We also travel during the season to other tournaments hosted by colleges and other leagues in the Western U.S.  After the regular season we have a more laid back summer league and attend special play days from time to time.

Our players come from all types of experiences and backgrounds; from NCAA Championship veterans to beginners to former college and high school players who just haven't picked up a stick in a couple of years.  Outside of the league, we're teachers, bankers, coaches, volunteers, attorneys, and everything else that runs the gamut of what the Bay Area has to offer.  But one thing brings us together:  our love of lacrosse and our dedication to continue seeing it grow here!
